Is Cloudflare down for everyone or just you?

This is the question that matters most. Our checker requests cloudflare.com from our own servers, completely separate from your network — so the result reflects what the rest of the internet sees, not just your connection.

  • If we say it's down: the outage is real and affects everyone. You'll just have to wait until Cloudflare fixes the issue.
  • If we say it's up, but you can't load it: the problem is local to you — usually a DNS cache, a VPN, a firewall, browser cache, or your ISP. Try a different network and an incognito window.

What a Cloudflare outage looks like

A Cloudflare incident can look like your origin is down: 5xx at the edge, 1.1.1.1 failures, or dashboard/login problems while cloudflare.com still responds. We check cloudflare.com. Edge, DNS, and Workers components are listed separately on Cloudflare’s status page.

Typical issues: Edge 5xx on customer sites, DNS resolver (1.1.1.1) disruption, dashboard or API outages, and Workers/KV incidents that do not take the homepage down.
